Cash for Clunkers DAY

Protects against cancer and obesity

The big day for a lot of the population, anything from $3,400.00 to $4,500.00 for old cards that have died during the last few months.

The CARS program, modeled after similar successful European initiatives, is intended to encourage drivers to trade in their older, less fuel efficient vehicles for new cars with better fuel economy - for a credit worth up to $4,500 on new car purchases.

This certainly is a great stimulus for the automotive business. WOW. Not only will it help to keep the country green with the better milge the new cars will get, but many of these clunkers will disappear.

The program begins today with a projected end-date of November 1, 2009. This is all fabulous, however, if your used car is worth more than $4,500, participating may not make much financial sense.
